Our house on the mats

Built on
the mats.

Two gyms, one standard — early risers, lunch-break rollers, kids, and first-timers all welcome. However you come in, you leave a little better than you walked in.

The idea

Jiu-jitsu is the art of the transition — the moment between positions where the whole match is won or lost. That's the name, and it's the way we train.

Transition is a place to work hard and be looked after while you do it. New students get walked through the door, not thrown to the wolves. Experienced grapplers get the rounds and the resistance they came for. Everyone shares the same mat and the same idea: better every day, together.

We run gi and no-gi through the week, a dedicated kids program, an all-women's class, and stand-up wrestling for anyone who wants to own the takedown. Whatever your reason for starting — fitness, self-defense, competition, or just something that's yours — there's a spot on the mat for you.

Programs

Every class on the weekly schedule, and what to expect when you show up.

Gi Jiu-Jitsu

Traditional jiu-jitsu in the kimono — grips, sweeps, and the patient chess of controlling someone with the cloth. The technical foundation of the art.

No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu

Same art, no jacket. Faster scrambles, body-lock control, and leg locks. Athletic, sweaty, and built for grappling and MMA crossover.

Kids Program

Age-appropriate drilling that builds coordination, focus, and quiet confidence — plus the self-defense fundamentals every kid should carry.

All Women's

A women-only room to learn, drill, and roll with a supportive crew. Same curriculum, zero intimidation. Beginners always welcome.

Wrestling & Takedowns

Where the fight starts standing. Level changes, penetration steps, and takedown chains to win the scramble before it hits the ground.

Open Mat

No instruction, just rounds. Test what you've been drilling, work specific positions, or get your reps in with whoever's on the mat.

The coaches

The people who run the room.
